Walked up to the post office today to collect our mail.
No tourists to be seen - everything from the old courthouse to numerous cafes are closed, even though the Beechworth Bakery is still doing takeaway.
And even though kids are out of school, hardly any were to be say, possibly because it was a dull chilly day.
As a consequence the streets were quiet. Everybody was trying to remember to do social distancing, even if some people would forget, catch themselves, and step back.
The supermarket was also quiet - but had had a delivery of toilet paper that had already sold out, but generally stock levels looked reasonable. Possibly with travel and visits deprecated there'll be less pressure and we'll start to get some sort of abnormality ...
