I bought a book second hand recently - not that unusual a happening, and yes, it was about arsenic and poisonings.
Rather than about a Victorian murder, it was about a murder that took place in Hay-on-Wye, on the border of England and Wales in the early 1920s.
The book was an ex-library book and had come from a retailer in the UK.
When I flipped through the book to check the pages were intact this popped out
There's no date on the book to say when it was de-accessioned, but a little bit of googling local news stories suggests the Hampshire library systems upgrade took place in 2017, so I'd guess that the book was deaccessioned sometime shortly thereafter ...
